Introduction

This guide will show you how to mount the tripod tray. Once you have mounted the tray, you do not need to remove it each time you store the telescope, instead put it into the storage position.

  1. Lay the tripod down on its side.

  6. Remove the cap. Be sure to catch the large black washer that was resting on the cap.

  9. While holding the tray, screw the cap back onto the base of the center bolt of the tripod. Make sure that the cap is tight to secure the legs. Do not over tighten as this ay strip the cap. Finger tight plus a quarter turn should be sufficient to secure the tripod.

  10. Double check that the tripod tray is aligned so that each leg lays flush with the groove in the tray.
